No, you are not forced to join the military but if you are planning to, there are many ways we are able to assist you with the process.

No, JROTC cadets pursue careers in all sorts of industries outside the military. Our curriculum is focused on teaching leadership, team-building and life skills, Which are valuable skills to have in any situation.

No, regardless of gender, race, and religion, anyone is allowed to join, participate, and achieve a position of leadership.
I need to be athletic to join JROTC

While physical training is a part of the curriculum, students will never be made to perform activities they aren't capable of. No matter your shape or size all JROTC asks of any of its cadets is to try.
I’ll be required to stay for afterschool activities if I’m JROTC

No, you are not required to stay after school or be on a team, however it is highly encouraged that cadets participate in extracurriculars in order to receive of complete experience of JROTC program.
I have to shave my head for JROTC

No, you do not have to shave your head, however it must be kept well-groomed and above the collar
